HFLCS is a Missouri non-profit organization that assists in offering an adoption program for both felines and canines
at the Buffalo City Pound through our outreach program.
We strive to find permanent, lifelong homes. From our adopters we require loving humane care, indoor only homes for the
felines, and a return policy for the lifetime of the adopted animal.

Every Saturday we have mobile adoptions! Our adoption team brings dogs and cats to Petsmart in Springfield,
MO. Twice a month, our animals also attend adoptions at PetCo in Osage Beach, MO. HFLCS animals can also be viewed during
the week by appointment. Buffalo City Pound animals can be seen during the city's business hours.

Our organization provides a lifelong home to about 135 felines. We offer sponsorship of our sanctuary residents
for $15 per month. We specialize in homeless felines with handicaps, some medical special needs, and seniors. We offer a loving
environment with their feline home designed for their needs. Our residents are family.
HFLCS sponsors the Buffalo City Pound animals by providing the food, litter, toys, treats, and equipment to keep the
pound a "no-kill" shelter. Without HFLCS, the pound would have remained a kill shelter.
Through our outreach program, we are able to offer help to the animals outside the city limits of Buffalo. We try to
help those animals in need - whether they are strays or owner owned that are no longer wanted. There is an intake fee for
the animal to come through our program (to help provide for its vet expenses). We do not have enough foster homes to house
all of the animals, so we do offer a "Foster Until Adopted" program.

Our Accomplishments
HFLCS has raised money through it's "Pause for Paws Fundraiser Campaign" to build a new facility for the City Pound animals.
We have collected $25,000. A building was purchased for an adoption building for the cats with some of the funds. We are still
raising money by accepting donations and are in the planning stage with the City of Buffalo as to where to build the new facility.
Once the building is finished, it will be donated to the City.
Our Mission
Overpopulation of pets is a real problem throughout the U.S. We hope by educating the public about pet ownership, responsibility,
and the importance of spaying and neutering that we can make a difference in the lives of animals.
